Reservation Procedure
- Reservations are processed through the Reservations Department, located in the Cultural Center at 300 Mendham Road, Morris Township.
* Office hours are 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
* Changes to a permit can only be made during regular business hours.
- Reservations may be made starting the first working day of January for the current year.
- Groups of 25 or more persons utilizing any Morris County Park System area are required to make a reservation and obtain a permit.
- All shelters, ball fields, campgrounds, play areas, and semi-permanent tents require a reservation.
- Reservations are required for all major holidays.

Groups larger than 75 people can use the Indoor/Outdoor Reservation Availability Request form and someone from the Reservation Office will contact you. Requests will be handled in the order that they are received and by date requested

Fees vary for the different reservable areas.
All non-reservable picnic areas include grills and picnic tables, these areas are available for small groups (less than 25 people) without reservations.
Restroom may be closed in the month of October, Portos will be availabe onsite if the restroom is closed for the winter.
Cancellation Policy
All requests to cancel your event must be made in writing to the Reservation Department.
Cancellations 61 days or more prior to the event 90% of the rental fee will be refunded 10% will be retained for administrative fees.
Cancellation 31-60 days prior to the event 70% of the rental fee will be refunded 30% will be retained for administrative fees.
Cancellations 30 days or less prior to the event there is no refund.
Rain Cancellation
For rental areas without a shelter - If it is raining at the start of your rental at your rental location may reschedule your rental date to occur within 60 calendar days of the cancellation, provided that you notify the Reservations Department of the cancellation within 48 hours after the start of your scheduled event. If there are no available dates in the same calendar year, Commission approval will be required to extend into the next year. Reservations must be made between January 1 and January 31 for the approved carry over rental.

General Information
- Retain your copy of the paid invoice and bring it with you to your event for identification. If an adjustment in arrival time is necessary, please email reservations@morrisparks.net.
- Reservations will be held for one (1) hour past the scheduled time after which the area will be made available to the public.
- The exchange of money for services or merchandise is prohibited without specific written authority of the Park Commission.
- Any misrepresentation of the information given to secure a permit may result in the denial of future permit requests.
- The responsible adult (permit application signator) is obligated to see that group members conform to the regulations of the Park Commission. This adult is responsible for any damages which may be caused to Park Commission facilities.
- All groups are expected to leave the area in a suitably clean condition, free from damage, debris and litter.
- Reservations will be held for one (1) hour past the scheduled time after which the area will be made available to the public.

- A Park Police officer must be hired if a band or disc jockey is approved.
- Use of alcoholic beverages must be authorized on your permit, in advance of your reservation date. Alcohol consumption is permitted only in your group's reserved area, as indicated on the permit.
- All caterers must comply with the County of Morris Risk Management insurance requirements before a permit can be obtained. This information must be authorized on your permit in advance of the reservation date.
- Service Road use is restricted to drop off and pick up only. Long term parking on Service Roads is strictly prohibited. Please park in designated areas only. ADA accommodations can be made in advance.
- Use of a tent at designated areas must be authorized in advance by the Park Commission. An additional fee and the tent company's insurance will be required. This information must be authorized on your permit in advance of the reservation date.
- The use of public address systems and other sound amplification must be approved by the Park Commission, well in advance of your reservation date. This information must be authorized on your permit in advance of the reservation date.
- All parks are Carry In / Carry Out. Renters are required to bring their own bags and dispose of their trash in the provided dumpsters.
- Use of alcoholic beverages must be authorized on your permit, in advance of your reservation date. Alcohol consumption is permitted only in your group's reserved area, as indicated on the permit.
