Wednesday, April 6: Daffy Down Dilly - One of the best signs of spring is the daffodil, and young explorers will look for this flower, count the many different types and learn how they grow.
Wednesday, April 20: This Is For The Birds - Birds are returning from their winter trips and looking around for places to nest and lay eggs. We’ll look for nests all over the arboretum and help the birds find the right kind of natural things for perfect nest building.
Wednesday, May 4: Get Up! Get Growing! - Spring is definitely here and we’ll take a walk around the arboretum to look for plants that traveled from some place else to be here. Learn just who planted those seeds if it wasn’t the arboretum gardeners.
Wednesday, May 18: Plant A Rainbow - Flowers come in all sorts of colors. We’ll look for the rainbow outside and young gardeners will start a rainbow of flowers to take home.
Wednesday, June 1: Dandy Lions - Yellow spots are popping up all over the lawn - it's everyone’s favorite weed! What are they, where do they come from, and how did they get here?
Wednesday, June 15: Here Comes Summer - Days are warming up, and summer is just around the corner. But it’s not too late to learn about easy and fun vegetables young gardeners can plant right now!
